It is my pleasure to place a note of appreciation and my continued blessings on “Little Flower College and School of Nursing”, Manvila, a noble endeavour of the Archdiocese of Trivandrum. I am so happy on hearing that our institution is keeping high standard and securing very good academic result in the past examinations. Well, keep it always.

Of course, nursing is a noble profession. Always remember that medical knowledge and technology are advancing very rapidly and so a great nurse must have genuine sense of curiosity to keep working on their professional developments by improving their skills and learning. No two patients are ever the same. So a good nurse is always solving problems and trying to individualise what is the best care for each patient. Care, compassion and empathy sometimes confused as one and the same but there are specific discriminations. Empathy is the ability to hear and share patient’s feelings. For a nurse, this does not mean you always have to agree with what a patient or their family think. But it is very important that you listen and try to understand what they are saying. A genuine smile from a nurse, truly gives the patient a sense of comfort presuming that you are sincerely caring for them. Don’t forget that a nurse who exercise giving respect for all co-workers, patients and their families will definitely earn a high level of respect, in return. Also, bear in mind that you are always treating the patients who are highly sick and severely injured and so you must be so humble, so polite and kind to them, considering that they are your brothers and sisters. Never forget that God is near to you, he is willing to listen to you and he is able to help you always.

Little Flower College and School of Nursing are institutions governed by the Trivandrum Social Service society an organization under the auspices of the Latin Archdiocese of Trivandrum. The college of nursing started its journey with a humble beginning in the year 2013 admitting 40 students, and over the years the institution has grown exponentially and today it proudly admits 55 students annually. The school of nursing will also stand tall as it is all set to start its functioning from the academic year 2026. Today our Institution is a dream destination for aspiring nurses, teachers and parents alike.

The management and excellent team of faculty pledge their whole hearted dedication and support in moulding the students as compassionate healthcare professionals who serve the society in a way that honours the values of the institution, this obligation is reflected in the successful global placement of our graduates. We are also committed in maintaining high academic standards complemented by outstanding clinical training, good infrastructure and hostel facilities. Since our inception, we have established ourselves as a leading institution in Kerala, consistently achieving outstanding results in university examinations with equal emphasis on extracurricular and co-curricular activities.
